What would be the best way to employ precious funding supplied by National Lotteries Commission? Tshisa Talent decided to train 3 very special Event Co-Ordinators in Kouga in August 2018 with very pleasing results.

With the assistance of Kouga Locals, Thanduxolo Buka (King & Queen Me Youth Group), Luvvuyo Mayinje (Booyaka Recording Studio) and Clifton Britz (Muso & Businessman) registrations and auditions were held from 11 to 19 August. This was followed by a thrilling Finals Competition which was funded by the Stephan-Rolf Nussbaum Foundation at the Civic Centre in Arcadia on 25 September.

The Finals were broadcast live to 365 000 people by Kouga FM. The judges, Antionio Moos, Stuart Palmer, Amanda Valela and Sinethemba Mdayi were hard pressed to choose the winners. MC Elements Himself, kept the excitement at fever pitch.

Amidst whoops of you Dog Unit, were announced as The Overall Winners across the Eastern and South Western Cape. They also claimed the Pantsula Dance Category which means they won R20 000’s worth of career assistance plus the door takings. The other winning groups will each benefit with R10 000 for their development. They are Flame Crew - Contemporary Dance; BOPA - Theatre; Siyabonga Matshoba - Rap & Hip Hop and Strings - Song. Golden Voices - Most Promising.
Local print screening, photographers, print, sound and catering enterprises also benefitted coming to total of an investment of well over R100 000 for the Kouga Region.
This was followed with a Workshop where the Winners were guided on Communications, Professionalism, Finance with special emphasis on how to budget and gather quotes so that Tshisa Talent can help them to fulfill their career Wish Lists.
