Tremendous Tigger shares his knowledge with eager artists

As part of the opportunity afforded by National Lotteries Commission, Tshisa Talent conducted  another workshop for aspiring performing artists discovered through the Open Mic Discovery Sessions on 17 March 2018.  The facilitator was Tigger Reunert, a very accomplished performer,  who explained how to register songs at SAMRO.  Tigger has opened for a number of international artists like Mike and the Mechanics, Wet Wet Wet as well as performing at events throughout Africa, The United States and Europe.

He's also toured and recorded with the likes of PJ Powers, Yvonne Chaka Chaka, Wendy Oldfield, Lionel Bastos, Little Sister, Kate Normington, Vusi Khumalo and Fana Zulu. He performed at the 1st Freedom Day celebrations at the Union Buildings for President Nelson Mandela as well as doing a Royal Command Performance in Durban for Queen Elizabeth II. He fronted various blues bands over the years including The Token Jesters, Keep the Change, the Pranksters and Los Desperados.

Tigger began his musical career at an early age performing in the choir and in various musical productions. It was at this early stage that his love affair with the guitar and entertaining people began. 1988 and 1989 saw Tigger relocating to Los Angeles where he studied at the Musicians Institute.  Although based in Knysna now, Tigger still tours with various acts as well as playing solo or in duos and bands at corporate launches and functions, sporting events and celebrations in addition to performing in clubs and bars around the country. Well done to Maphiko Mncedisi Kancedani and Siabonga Zabo  for their co-ordination of all the exciting National Lotteries Commission events.
